Dr. O’Toole qualified form TCD in 1977. After a year in Baggot St Hospital he went to Australia, where he worked in the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Subsequently he went to a country practice in South Australia. This practice, 180 Km from Adelaide, was responsible for the local hospital. Dr. O’Toole and his colleagues provided a full range of services including Accident and Emergencies, Obstetrics, Acute Medicine and Surgery.
He returned home in 1989 to join Dr Carson in the original Stillorgan practice. His interests are in Preventative Medicine, Acute Medicine, Allergy, Minor Surgery (Hill Walking and Golf!).
He is married to Sinead. They have four adult children.
