Diving Medical

What Is Involved?

The basic consultation and examination only require one visit which lasts approximately half an hour. The diving medical focuses on the standard diving medical application form, which the patient will bring to the consultation along with his/her log-book.

The main points are the patient’s medical history, family history and current medications while the examination includes an assessment of the blood pressure, pulse, heart, lungs, body mass index, urine analysis and general health status of the individual.

Occasionally a chest xray and/or an ECG (electrocardiograph) will be mandatory.

The chest X-ray will be organised by our doctor in a local hospital setting. The ECG can be performed in our clinic, by our nurse.

Subsequently the completed form will be signed and stamped by our doctor, detailing your fitness for diving.
