Dr Kate Healy graduated from University College Dublin in 2000 with a large number of awards and 1st class honours in many areas including medicine, general practice, paediatrics and public health. She went on to train in her chosen speciality, general practice and sucessfully completed the TCD/HSE Specialist Training Programme in General Practice in 2004. This involved training and working in medicine, accident and emergency, paediatrics and psychiatry within hospitals in Dublin and in general practice in Co. Meath.
She was appointed Lecturer in General Practice at University College Dublin in 2005 where she taught and examined medicine at undergraduate and postgraduate levels over a three year period. She combined this role with working as a general practitioner within a busy practice in Dublin city centre.
Dr Healy has extended her training with postgraduate qualifications in family planning, child health, advanced paediatric life support, immediate cardiac and trauma care and university teaching and learning. She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and is on the Specialist Register of General Practitioners with the Irish Medical Council.
Dr Healy offers the full range of general practice services including care of acute, chronic and preventive health issues for children, women and men.
Dr Healy's areas of special interest include;
Women's Health including contraception, antenatal care, pre-conceptual care, infertility, well women health checks, menopause care, sexually transmitted infections, smear testing and breast checks.
Infant and Children's Health including acute illnesses, chronic illnesses, six week baby checks.

Cryosurgery for warts and verrucae.
