Dr. Karen Palmer

Karen is a graduate of UCD (1990). She trained for a career in general practice with the Royal College of Surgeons Vocational Training Scheme in Dublin, successfully completing the course in four years. Karen is also a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and the Irish College of General Practice. In addition, Dr Palmer has postgraduate diplomas in Child Health, Medicine For The Elderly and Family Planning.

Before moving to the Slievemore Clinic, Karen worked for ten years in a large south Dublin medical practice.

She is an experienced and enthusiastic family doctor whose interests include:

  • Women's health and childcare.
  • Travel Vaccines
  • Male & Female Full Medical Check ups.
  • Family Planning including insertion of Mirena coil.
  • STD screening (the management of sexually transmitted infections).
  • Cryotherapy (the use of freezing to destroy unsightly, unwanted skin blemishes).

Dr Palmer's office hours are:

Mon: 09.00am-12.45pm & 2.45-4.45pm

Tues: 09.00am-12.45pm

Weds: 09.00am-12.45pm
