Restylane or Perlane Fillers

Restylane contains non – animal hyaluronic acid, which is so safe that no patch test is necessary. One of the most recognised and tried and tested fillers that have been in widespread use since 1996.

As we age we produce less hyaluronic acid and thus skin looses its elasticity and radiance. Restylane replaces that hyaluronic acid which adds volume and plumpness to the area being treated to erase fine lines and wrinkles.

What happens during treatment process?

What are the side – effects?

Most people will experience redness, swelling at area for 24- 48 hours. Thus if planning a major occasion within that time I would advise postpone to more suitable time. Bruising can also occur this is rare and typically lasts up to 1 week however this can be covered with make - up by and large.

1 in 2000 clients may experience redness, breaks in skin, acne like spots, which last up to 2 weeks, but are not permanent.

Who is not suitable for treatment?

Clients who have had recent skin peel or laser resurfacing. Also those who suffer lupus autoimmune conditions, clients on warfarin. A thorough medical history is taken before the procedure.

How long does the treatment last?

Up to six to nine months. This is variable and depends on factors such as lifestyle, age and your expectations of treatment. Also Lip treatments tend to last shorter period of time – 6 months.
